🔍 Detailed Description:
We begin our journey along the highway to La Laguna, the historic capital of the island and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 🏛️. This charming city boasts a lively farmers’ market where you’ll find a wide array of local products, including the famous Canarian potatoes 🥔.
Next, we head to the spectacular Laurel Forest of Mercedes 🌳. Starting from Cruz del Carmen, we enjoy a scenic hike among lush vegetation and 360º panoramic views. This area, blessed with an eternal spring climate 🌸, showcases nature at its finest. We continue on to the Anaga region, where we stop for a peaceful picnic with views of the quaint village of Taganana 🏞️.
Our next destination is Playa del Roque de las Bodegas 🏖️, located at the northern tip of the island and once known for its local wine production 🍷. After a brief photo stop, we cross the Anaga mountains, heading south toward Las Teresitas, Tenerife’s first beach constructed with sand imported from the Sahara Desert 🏜️. Here, you’ll have time to stroll or relax at a seaside café with views of palm trees 🌴.
We then pass through the capital, Santa Cruz, with its impressive harbor welcoming enormous cruise ships 🚢. Our final stop takes us to Candelaria, home of the renowned Black Madonna, a central figure in the basilica inaugurated in 1959 ⛪. Here you can admire statues of the ancient Guanche kings, explore the black sand beach, and wander through a quaint shopping street.
Finally, we head back along the highway, passing the Reina Sofía International Airport to return you to your hotel, bringing with you unforgettable memories and a deeper understanding of Tenerife’s rich culture.
